Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 6 months Level 1 trauma experience and ARRT RT (R)(CT), BLS, and SCRQSA (R)(CT) certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position based in a major teaching hospital with Level 1 trauma status
• CT scan unit with variable daily caseloads depending on shift and location
• Work 3x12hr day shifts, Thursday through Saturday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a holiday rotation
• Call required as part of staff rotation
• Floating within scope to sister facilities as needed
• Epic EMR system is used
• Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
• First-time travelers with qualifying experience are accepted
• All employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
• Modules must be completed pre-start, averaging 4 hours
• Locals considered on a case-by-case basis with a 60-mile radius rule and may be offered a different compensation rate
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All time off requests must be included at submission and are subject to approval
• Parking is paid for nights and weekends with a one-time $20 parking pass

Requirements

• Current BLS, ARRT RT (R)(CT), and SCRQSA (R)(CT) required
• Minimum 6 months of Level 1 trauma experience required; 1 year total experience preferred
• Experience with Siemens CT equipment required
• Radiation badge must be provided by the agency; facility does not supply badges
• License required if applicable; must have required state license in hand at start
• Experience charting with Epic preferred
