Position Summary

The Grocery Clerk supports store operations by providing friendly, courteous, and helpful service to customers while maintaining well-stocked and organized grocery aisles. Under the direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, this position will assist customers, stock and rotate merchandise, clean displays and shelves, and ensure that the store environment is safe and inviting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers in a friendly, professional manner.

• Stock, rotate, and replenish grocery shelves and displays.

• Clean and maintain shelves, display cases, and self-serve areas.

• Ensure products are properly labeled, priced, and organized.

• Assist in maintaining overall store cleanliness.

• Follow company safety, sanitation, and operational guidelines.

• Perform heavy lifting, bending, stooping, and standing for long periods of time.

• Work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends as required.

What You'll Bring

• Ability to read and understand instructions, labels, pricing codes, and memos.

• Ability to write simple correspondence and communicate clearly with customers and coworkers.

• Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with customers and team members.

• Physical ability to regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs., frequently up to 45 lbs., and occasionally up to 60 lbs.

• Commitment to teamwork, reliability, and delivering excellent service.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have)

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.

• Retail Management Certificate.

Work Environment

This role is performed in a fast-paced grocery store environment and requires frequent physical activity including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and kneeling.
