Accounting Manager

Position Summary

The Accounting Manager reports directly to the Corporate Controller and oversees the corporate accounting function. This role is responsible for managing global accounting operations - including consolidation, intercompany accounting, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting - while driving process improvements, financial system initiatives, and team development. The position serves as a key liaison with finance and accounting teams across North America, EMEA, and Asia Pacific to ensure consistent global practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise accounting personnel, including external resources, to achieve departmental goals.

• Develop and deliver accurate monthly reports and dashboards in collaboration with IT.

• Provide coaching, performance management, and career development to team members.

• Conduct finance and systems training for accounting staff and broader finance teams.

• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including global consolidations.

• Maintain and document internal controls across accounting processes.

• Oversee global intercompany accounting to ensure proper consolidation eliminations.

• Support financial reporting, including internal management reports and statutory filings.

• Manage accounting integrations for acquisitions/divestitures.

• Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization across accounting functions.

• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and implement corporate accounting policies.

• Collaborate with Tax on accurate accounting for income taxes under ASC 740.

• Manage quarterly revenue deferral processes for North America.

• Act as primary contact for external auditors regarding accounting matters.

• Present in finance meetings and training sessions as required.

• Lead and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Licenses & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required).

• CPA certification or Master's degree (preferred).

Experience

• Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience.

• 3+ years in technical accounting, acquisition integration, or system implementation (preferred).

• Experience in a multinational manufacturing environment.
