Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• At least 1 year of previous critical care nursing experience
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Lewiston, ME
• No licensure or background hits/actions
• Not a previous employee of St. Mary's

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in all areas of the Emergency Room
• Perform patient assessments upon admission and throughout their stay
• Administer IV medications, therapies, and blood products as needed
• Deliver patient education and emotional support
• Document nursing care actions, teaching, observations, and patient responses
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
