Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager - Base Build - DC will be responsible for:

• Supporting Project Managers and Superintendents through all phases of construction projects, from preconstruction to closeout
• Assisting with subcontractor bidding, coordination, and contract administration
• Preparing, tracking, and processing RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Helping maintain and update project schedules, budgets, and scopes of work
• Monitoring project progress and ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards
• Attending project meetings and conducting site visits as needed
• Maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting for leadership and stakeholders
• Coordinating with internal teams, clients, and external partners to keep projects on track
• Assisting with project turnover and supporting smooth transitions to end users or property management teams

The Successful Applicant

The Assistant Project Manager - Base Build - DC will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• 1-3 years of construction experience; multifamily strongly preferred but commercial considered
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with project teams and external partners
• Familiarity with construction management software and document control processes (e.g., Procore, MS Project)
• Team-oriented mindset with the ambition to grow into a leadership role
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
