Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced
Medical Assistant
for a 26-week assignment at an outpatient facility in
Flushing, NY . The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, experience working in family practice or outpatient settings, and proficiency with
EPIC
or
Athena EMR .
Korean-speaking candidates are highly preferred
due to patient population needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and room patients; take
vital signs ,
height/weight , and patient intake
Process lab specimens and assist with basic clinical procedures
Support physicians and nurses with daily patient care
Accurately document patient information in
EPIC
or
Athena
EMR systems
Maintain clean and organized clinical areas
Provide culturally competent care, especially for Korean-speaking patients (if applicable)
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
(Required)
BLS Certification
(Required)
Completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program
(Required)
Medical Assistant Certification
(AAMA-CMA, AMT-RMA)
(Preferred)
1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant
(Preferred)
Experience in an outpatient or family practice setting
(Preferred)
Korean language proficiency
(Highly Preferred)
Experience with EMR systems Epic or Athena
(Required)
Specimen processing experience
(Preferred)
