Trustaff Allied is seeking a travel RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for a travel job in Salinas, California.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics required. Master's degree preferred but not required.
• Licensure: Not required (CA does not have licensure for dietitians)
• Certification: Must currently be a Registered Dietitian, in good standing and credentialed by CDR (or registry eligible). ServSafe Manager Certification via an accredited American National Standards Institute preferred but not required.
• Experience: 3 years of clinical dietetics in acute care hospital and computer experience preferred.
• Charting: Must have Epic experience.
• Language: Spanish fluency preferred but not required.

Schedule Notes: Schedule would be usually M-F with one weekend shift every 5 weeks (staggers between start times of 6-9am). Typically, the RD who works the weekend takes off Friday and Monday that week.

General Description

Works under the supervision of the Clinical Nutrition Manager to provide nutritional care including (but not limited to): counseling to patients and their families, documenting and maintaining nutrition-related records, assessing nutrition status of patients and developing the patient plan of care, and acting as nutritional consultant to the health care team. Act as the patient advocate and serves as a liaison between the healthcare team, food service operations and the patient. Participates in the development of policies & procedures and standards of care for clinical services. Able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit. Is able to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and productivity under the challenges of varying workloads and patient populations, and stress. Performs other duties as required.
