RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 27-bed Emergency Department with 50 RN and 25 medics on staff
• Patient ratios of 4-6:1, with preferred experience in 5:1 ratios
• Day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2-3 medics with additional staff increases at 11am (4-5 RNs) and 3pm (1-2 RNs)
• Night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2-3 medics
• Must have completed 2-3 travel assignments and have 2-3 years ER experience
• High acuity emergency department with fast pace and high volume
• Perform typical procedures including RSI, sepsis interventions, stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, care of psychiatric patients, and EMTALA transfers
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications: ENPC, NRP, NIH
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Dress code requires navy blue or white scrubs
• Weekend requirement of four weekend shifts (Friday or Saturday for nights; Saturday or Sunday for days) in a four-week scheduling period
• No floating to other units required
• No on-call responsibilities
