Medical Assistant

Join our urgent care clinic as a Medical Assistant, where you will play a crucial role in patient care and clinic operations. Your primary responsibilities will involve collecting patient demographics and triaging patients based on their symptoms.

Responsibilities

• Collect and record patient demographics accurately.
• Triage patients effectively based on their symptoms.
• Assist with maintaining electronic health records and medical records.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive patient experience.
• Support front desk operations as needed.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of experience in a fast-paced clinic environment.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and medical assisting.
• Ability to take and record vitals accurately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preferred but not required: MA diploma or certification.
• Experience in healthcare or medical settings.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong customer service skills.

Work Environment

Work onsite at a primary care clinic, handling between 20 to 30 patients daily. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00/hr.
