Job Summary and Qualifications
Utilize the nursing process to deliver quality care and achieve optimal patient outcomes. Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members, promoting a positive image of nursing and collegiality.
System Resource Pool Requirements:
Tier II (PRN): Minimum of 36 hours per pay period, including one weekend shift and one major and one minor holiday annually.
Tier III (PRN): Minimum of 48 hours per pay period, including one weekend shift and one major and one minor holiday annually.
System Resource Pool employees are required to float to all Methodist Healthcare System Facilities and will be scheduled based on competencies. Training and competency checks are mandatory for the specific patient populations served.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Experience: At least two years of RN experience, including one year in a specialty area for float assignments.
Active RN License in Texas or MultiState RN Compact License (Texas RN License required within 60 days for Compact License holders).
BLS Certification is mandatory.
Essential Job Functions:
Identify and personalize patient goals, adjusting care plans as necessary based on patient feedback.
Perform comprehensive assessments considering emotional and coping needs, and involve family in care planning.
Determine educational needs and create a teaching plan suited to patients' comprehension levels.
Safely administer medications and treatments while recognizing and addressing errors responsibly.
Respond effectively in crisis situations and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
Accurately document patient symptoms, responses, and progress, tailoring interventions to meet those needs.
