Job Description

We are seeking an efficient and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for receiving, storing, and dispatching materials and products. The position involves maintaining inventory accuracy, organizing the warehouse space, and assisting in various warehouse activities to meet production and shipping demands.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming products and materials.
• Accurately pick items from inventory according to pick lists or customer orders.
• Pack orders securely and prepare them for shipment.
• Manage, organize, and retrieve stock.
• Inspect products for defects and damages.
• Organize warehouse space and maintain cleanliness.
• Maintain accurate inventory records.
• Check, verify, and fill customer invoices.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
• Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments.
• Adhere to company quality standards and safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Experience with inventory, picking, and material handling.
• Proficiency in using RF scanners.
• Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, shipping, and receiving.
• Order picking capabilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in warehouse operations or logistics.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory tracking and order fulfillment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

Our team has recently moved into a brand-new facility, which will eventually house about 200-250 employees. The work environment is a manufacturing floor with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures. Employees are required to wear steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and long pants made of thicker material, while the company provides cut-resistant sleeves. The position requires the ability to stand or walk for long periods and lift up to 2550 lbs. Work is conducted on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule from 6 am to 6 pm, with initial training conducted Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
