EMCOR Government Services is seeking an Area Manager to lead our contract Janitorial Services, supporting a major customer in the intelligence community located in Herndon, VA. The Area Manager leads a team of dedicated and talented professionals in delivering a wide range of Janitorial support services. Area Manager who will serve as the primary point of contact for Property Management for day-to-day operational issues. The Area Manager shall provide schedules of all periodic cleaning, inspect the Premises on a regular basis, investigate all tenant complaints, meet with tenant representatives if requested by the Property Management, report all items needing repair or maintenance and generally supervise the entire cleaning of the premises. The Area Manager will also see to it that all janitorial staff personnel report to their supervisor any repairs needed, or any other unusual or unsafe conditions(s) they encounter. The Area Manager shall report all such items or conditions to the Property Management in a manner to be agreed upon.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for scheduling, training, assigning work, evaluating, and documenting employee performance.
• Maintains accurate and proper records, which include ensuring all employees clock in/out
• Serve as the sites QC Manager along with Supervisors/Leads
• Responsible for sending out reports and all necessary deliverables
• Organize and supervise ongoing operations.
• Keeps all equipment clean and otherwise well-maintained.
• Maintain a working knowledge of cleaning methods set forward by EGS.
• Maintains a clean and well-organized office and supply closets.
• Complete all required paperwork and reporting pertaining to the site daily.
• Take immediate action on client complaints, reporting problems to the Area Manager.
• Reallocate personnel as required to cover for absenteeism. Wear/use all safety equipment provided by EGS.
• Attend all training required by EGS.
• Perform other duties as directed by Management.

Qualifications:

• Previous supervisory experience
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of cleaning products and services
• Be able to work with and around chemicals and dust.
• Must have the ability to work with other employees and to take directions from Management.
• Two or more years of equivalent experience preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an ISSA TS/SCI w/poly

Physical demands may include the following on a regular basis:

• Walking and standing Climbing
• Bending forward, Wearing hip/backpack vacuum
• Reaching, grasping, pushing, and pulling
• Lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, sometimes over the shoulder
