Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT/X-Ray Technologist registered in both Radiography and CT, with 2+ years of experience and advanced certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a teaching hospital with Magnet recognition and Level 1 Trauma designation
• Position involves both CT and X-ray imaging responsibilities
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, with every 3rd weekend required
• Possible floating to similar units within the imaging department
• Patient population includes emergency, trauma, pediatrics, and orthopedic cases
• Utilizes Siemens equipment, Epic EMR, and PACS system
• No on-call is required for this position
• Multi-modality technologist provides patient care and produces high-quality images for licensed practitioners
• Must effectively communicate procedures and ensure patient understanding
• Previous MUSC employees (including PRN) must have a 1-year separation before applying
• Scrub color is teal blue top and black bottoms
• Must complete facility-required modules pre-start, approximately 4 hours
• All RTO must be submitted at time of application and may be approved based on unit needs
• During hurricane season (June–November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
• Parking available with a one-time payment for a pass, required for nights and weekends only
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent CT and X-ray experience
• Current ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required
• SCRQSA state license required if applicable
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
• Experience with Siemens equipment and Epic EMR is highly preferred
• Experience in emergency, trauma, pediatric, and orthopedic exams in both modalities
• Radiation badge must be provided by the employee's agency
• Submission of SSN and driver’s license required for consideration
• Local candidates must live 60+ miles from facility for travel consideration
