Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient orthopedic setting, requiring BLS certification and graduation from an accredited PT program.
Responsibilities
- Position is in an outpatient orthopedic therapy department
- Day shifts from 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday
- Assignment is 13 weeks in length with 40 hours per week
- No block scheduling is permitted
- Responsibilities include administering diagnostic tests, establishing patient goals, and providing rehabilitative services
- Expected to teach and supervise graduate students or clinical fellows when appropriate
- Involvement in community outreach, health screenings, and presentations at local or state events
- Participation in departmental meetings, in-services, and continuous quality improvement initiatives is required
- Reporting to the lab for drug screening within 24 hours of offer is expected
- Document due date for all requirements is firm and start dates can be pushed if not met
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program is required
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification required
- Outpatient orthopedic therapy experience required
