As a CDL-A Delivery Driver, your responsibilities will include:
Conducting pre/post-trip inspections on the tractor-trailer and submitting a DOT inspection report.
Verifying the accuracy of the bill of lading and storing keys for off-hour deliveries.
Safely driving the tractor-trailer to designated locations, adhering to commercial driving regulations and demonstrating proficient maneuvering skills.
Maintaining a driver log (manual or Peoplenet) in compliance with DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipts, product temperatures, and exceptions.
Unloading the trailer and delivering products to customer locations.
Performing other assigned duties as required.
What You Need to Qualify:
Must be at least 21 years old.
Possession of a valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A).
A minimum of 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
Must meet McLane’s motor vehicle record (MVR) and risk rating criteria.
Ability to read, write, and understand English proficiently to effectively and safely perform job-related tasks, including interpreting instructions, safety protocols, and necessary communications.
