Forklift Operator

Aerotek's client is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join their team in the Hanover, MD area.

In this role, you will play a critical part in our warehouse operations by efficiently handling the movement, storage, and loading of high-quality communication and connectivity products.

You will be responsible for operating sit-down forklifts to manage inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts to manage the movement, storage, and loading of products.
• Handle inbound and outbound shipments with precision and efficiency.
• Ensure all operations are conducted in adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve shipping and receiving issues as they arise.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve operational goals.

Essential Skills

• Experience in operating sit-down forklifts.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
• Capability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Proven warehouse management experience, including a managerial role.
• Competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make decisions, solve problems, prioritize tasks, and direct workforce effectively.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Hanover, MD.
