Project Manager

We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager who will be responsible for managing, overseeing, and executing commercial construction projects from inception to completion. These projects primarily involve metal carpentry and include restaurants, offices, assisted living facilities, and higher education institutions. You will manage 3-7 projects at a time, with a primary focus on office work but will also include site visits to assess project status. This role involves working from 7 AM to 5/6 PM, with only occasional Saturdays required.

Responsibilities

• Secure new work by pursuing new customers and projects.
• Review and finalize contracts.
• Process subcontractor contracts or purchase orders.
• Monitor job progress against budget and schedule.
• Conduct field kick-offs with field staff and general foreman.
• Attend job meetings as required.
• Price bulletins and resolve job issues.
• Secure vendor pricing and approve vendor invoices.
• Approve completed work amounts for customer billings.
• Process additional work authorizations.
• Perform material takeoffs and update job cost budget.

Essential Skills

• 5 years of experience in metal carpentry project management.
• Experience in commercial construction and project management.
• Proficiency in metal studs, subcontractors, and general trades.
• Knowledge of millwork, edge router, and drywall.
• Familiarity with Viewpoint software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Blueprint reading.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Scissor Lift Certification.
• Experience in K-12 construction projects.
• Previous project management experience at a millwork shop.
• Degree in Construction Management.
• Experience with Edge estimating software.

Work Environment

You will work in a modern and up-to-date office equipped with brand-new technology. The office is shared with two other Project Managers, providing a collaborative environment. The lobby is spacious, featuring a display of our work and a company logo, with views of the millwork shop through glass doors. The office includes a kitchen with granite counters and several conference rooms. Dress code in the office is business casual, while on-site requires steel-toe boots and a hardhat. The work environment is team-oriented, with two departments: Carpentry and Millwork, including 14 office staff and over 40 field carpenters. You will have significant autonomy with support from the owner and other project engineers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $62.50/hr.
