CVOR Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Upper Marlboro, Maryland 20774
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing, On-Site
• Start Date: November 3, 2025
• End Date: February 2, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (06:00 - 17:30), call required
• Hours per Week: 40
• Unit: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• Scrubs: Provided
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2440 - $2610

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or Compact State (required at time of submission)
• Minimum 5 years of recent CVOR nursing experience
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• ACLS certification (preferred for CVOR nursing jobs)
• Experience with Epic charting system (preferred)
• Experience in Trauma Level I or II and community hospital settings (preferred)
• Ability to float within hospital as needed
• Two professional references required (one supervisor/manager and one charge RN)
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (per travel nurse guidelines)

CVOR Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room
• Assist with cardiovascular and general surgical procedures, including CABG, valve replacements, aortic aneurysm repairs, and minimally invasive surgeries
• Monitor and respond to patient needs throughout the surgical process
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including IV, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards
• Participate in on-call rotation as required
• Support infection control and patient safety initiatives
• Float to other nursing units within scope of experience as needed
