Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant who will play a vital role in supporting patient care through various services and activities. You will be responsible for accurately entering data for patient registration and insurance verification. Your ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, licensed personnel, insurance companies, and third-party payers is essential. We value professionalism and a caring attitude in our team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Exhibit the core competencies of OneCHRISTUS: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
Assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants to provide outstanding medical care.
Ensure accurate data entry of charges on patient accounts, including patient registration and updates.
Conduct insurance verification and maintain statistical records.
Support scheduling of patient appointments, manage phone calls, and communicate updates to both providers and patients regarding their benefits.
Perform additional duties as assigned to enhance team performance.
Qualifications:
Education and Skills:
High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
Must possess Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
