RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with 6:30 PM report time
• 13-week assignment duration starting ASAP
• 6-week scheduling blocks with maximum 1 RTO per schedule
• Patient ratio of 4:1 in Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department
• 2+ years of emergency room experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Preferred certifications: ENPC and NRP
• Call requirement: Available 2 hours prior to shift start minimum
• Floating to other departments required
• Full uniform required (no specific scrub color)
• Work with MedHost (EDIS) electronic medical record system
• Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers
• RTO blackout dates during 1 summer and 1 winter period depending on department needs
• Blocked scheduling and 48-hour guarantees not approved
• Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act
• Perform thorough patient assessments and effectively communicate findings
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail in patient care documentation
• Maintain knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
