Job Description

The OR Technician is a vital member of the OR Team, collaborating with surgeons, registered nurses, anesthesiologists, certified nurse anesthetists, and ancillary support personnel. The primary responsibility is to scrub for surgical cases, especially in cardiovascular and open-heart procedures. Additional duties include handling instruments, managing supplies, administering medications, and processing specimens and instrument cases.

Responsibilities

• Scrubbing for cardiovascular and open-heart surgical cases.
• Handling surgical instruments and supplies accurately.
• Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of sterile environments.
• Collaborating with the surgical team to facilitate efficient procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Previous experience in cardiovascular/open heart surgery preferred.
• Completion of relevant educational and professional qualifications.
• Required immunizations and health checks as outlined by the organization.
