Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of home health experience and active Massachusetts licensure for a float opportunity in North Region home care.

Responsibilities

• This is a home health position covering multiple pods including Cape Ann, Ipswich, and North regions
• Work includes in-home visits for patients ranging in age from birth to over 100 years
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with weekend rotation once every 6 weeks
• Must be able to travel to assigned cases within the provided service areas
• Epic is used for electronic charting and documentation
• Role involves delivering rehabilitative therapy services to patients in their homes to address physical impairments and functional limitations
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team including patients, families, physicians, and allied health professionals
• Documentation and communication must meet agency policies and standards of practice
• Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston
• Parking may incur daily costs; availability varies by location
• No first-time travelers accepted
• All RTO must be communicated prior to assignment
• Primary source verification of license or certification is required

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist license required at time of consideration; conditional licenses are not accepted
• Minimum 1 year of recent home care experience as a PT required
• AHA certifications only are accepted
• Proof of MA PT licensure must be provided prior to assignment
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations are required; no exemptions allowed
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area
• Must be able to provide two professional references
• License required if applicable
