Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and recent Epic experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Adult medical-surgical patients with telemetry monitoring
• Requires use of Epic EMR with recent (within 6 months) experience
• Exact length of assignment is 13 weeks
• Duties include caring for medical-surgical patients and monitoring cardiac telemetry
• Mandatory ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment must be passed during orientation
• Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent or per diem staff may not return within 1 year of previous end date
• All certifications and licenses must be active, with no pending status at time of consideration
• Module completion required prior to start, with additional annual modules if assignment extends
• Onsite badging and fingerprinting required prior to start
• PAPRs not permitted as an alternative for those with facial hair unless officially exempted
• Negative 10-panel drug screen (excluding nicotine) required within 12 months of start

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 18 months of permanent recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience prior to travel
• Recent Epic EMR experience within the last 6 months required
• At least one professional reference from a supervisory role in the specialty is required
• No open background check cases or license issues accepted
