Regional Director of Field Sales

Position Summary

The Regional Director of Field Sales is responsible for leading and executing sales strategies within an assigned region to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and achieve organizational goals. This role requires a proven sales leader with strong business acumen, the ability to build and coach high-performing teams, and the capacity to develop long-term relationships with key clients and partners. The Regional Director will collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure alignment on sales initiatives and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage regional field sales teams, including recruiting, training, mentoring, and performance management.

• Develop and execute regional sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue and growth targets.

• Establish strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor to key accounts and prospects.

• Identify new business opportunities within the region and support expansion into emerging markets.

• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform sales strategies.

• Partner with marketing, operations, and product teams to align on campaigns, promotions, and go-to-market initiatives.

• Prepare and deliver accurate sales forecasts, reports, and performance analyses to senior leadership.

• Implement best practices in sales processes, customer engagement, and territory management.

• Foster a results-driven culture that emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and regional networking opportunities.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (Master's preferred).

• 7–10 years of progressive sales experience, including at least 3–5 years in a leadership role managing multi-state or regional teams.

• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.

• Experience in [industry-specific area, e.g., consumer services, automotive, retail, etc.] preferred.
