Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5x8 hour days)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No weekend requirements except for special occasions (Sunday November 23rd and Sunday December 21st)
• No on-call requirements
• 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA only), ARRT, and VA License (or temp license with pending VA license)
• Must wear Caribbean Blue scrubs and follow facility dress code policy
• Work with EPIC electronic medical record system
• Provide daily care of cancer patients including accurate interpretation and delivery of radiation treatments
• Perform simulations and provide clinical instruction for radiation therapy students
• Assist in Brachytherapy procedures and treatment planning including tumor localization and dosimetry
• Schedule patients and explain pre-treatment and post-treatment procedures
• Prepare room and equipment according to prescription requirements
• Take and check images of all treated areas
• Maintain visual and audible contact with patients during treatments
• Observe radiation safety measures for patients and personnel
• Document treatment doses accurately and maintain proper billing records
• Set up IMRT and 3-D patients properly in CT and make immobilization devices
