Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with acute care experience, active CO or PT Compact license, and AHA BLS for a day shift hospital position.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital physical therapy department
• 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 to 17:00, 40 hours per week
• Patient population includes individuals with neuromuscular, orthopedic, and physically-related disorders requiring mobility training and rehabilitation
• Uses Epic EMR; prior experience preferred
• Floating may be required to any location within 60 miles, with duties potentially outside original job requirements or skill set
• Main responsibilities include patient evaluation, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing therapeutic interventions for a variety of physical disorders
• Collaborate with patients, families, and health care team members for discharge planning and goal setting
• Facilitate learning, document patient care thoroughly, and participate in program development and staff training
• Must be willing to float and adapt to changing assignments, technologies, and departmental needs
• Flu vaccination required during flu season unless a documented medical exemption is provided; religious exemptions are not accepted
• No local candidates accepted as travelers within 60 miles

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of employment (CO) or PT Compact license required; license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience required
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Experience using EMR systems preferred
