Warehouse Associate
Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety quality procedures and observe the operations to ensure a safe environment.
- Upholds Site and Corporate Environmental Policies by following all Environmental Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Counts and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
- Reads work order or follows instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.
- Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
- Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases or other containers.
- Maintains and cleans the Warehouse area.
- Remove product from Production lines safely and properly place product in the Warehouse, Trailer, or other area following safe stacking and storage procedures and practices.
- Operate and maintain forklift equipment safely.
- Verify incoming product for damage and quantity, verify against receiving paperwork, reject damaged items, document shortages, and record in receiving log.
- Inspect trailers for unsafe conditions, leaking, etc., and record on the trailer inspection form.
- Operate stretch wrapper and banding equipment.
- Must be able to read and understand the basics of the Bill of Lading.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Understand plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training
- Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions
- Troubleshoot problems and report issues
- Must work well in team environment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to be on feet up to 8-12 hours per shift
- Use of hands and fingers to perform job function
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and climb
- Ability to lift up to 35lbs
