Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Home Health assignment in Marin County, requiring an active CA PT license and at least one year of home health experience.

Responsibilities

• Home health setting covering Marin, Sonoma, and Napa Counties, with possible expansion as needed
• Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, with one weekend per month rotation
• Productivity expectation is 30 points per week, equating to approximately 40 hours per week
• Patient load and visit mix designed to average 8 hours per workday
• Requires prioritization of start of care visits and supervision of Physical Therapy Assistants
• Uses Kinnser for documentation; experience preferred
• iPad and Verizon One Talk equipment issued for work-related tasks
• Responsibilities include start of care visits, recertifications, resumption of care, revisits, and OASIS documentation
• Mandatory communication and responsiveness with supervisor, intake, and office staff during business hours
• Three-day orientation provided, including one day in-house and two days in the field
• Mileage, parking, and tolls reimbursed; option for company car available at alternate pay rate
• Caseload structure and productivity are based on a points system reflecting visit type complexity

Requirements

• Active California Physical Therapist (PT) license required; license required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year of recent home health physical therapy experience
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, including timely completion of clinical notes within 48 hours
• Ability to supervise and support Physical Therapy Assistants
• Must maintain reliable transportation to service multiple counties
• Next-day reporting of start of care visits required
