General Software Engineer

We are a global leader in mass properties and aerospace test equipment. Our Connecticut branch is seeking to hire an individual with a combination of knowledge or expertise in one or more of the following areas: Physics, Mathematics, Mass Properties knowledge, or Software and Programming (C# preferred). The ideal candidate can range from a recent B.S./Masters/PhD graduate to an experienced professional in the field.
This person may have a physics, mathematics, software, or engineering concentration with multiple interests or skill sets that may lend themselves to other areas of the company.
Pay will be dependent on skills and previous experience.
General Software Engineer Duties:
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to (depending on skill set):
Assistance in new product development
Developing spreadsheets or software in conjunction with performance criteria for instruments
Supporting software on development and maintenance of mass properties systems
Learning and developing materials to enhance expertise in the mass properties field
Analyzing machine performance and determining appropriate testing
Supporting mechanical engineering with design and development of mass properties machines and ancillary equipment
Supporting QA in uncertainty analysis for ISO17025/9001 accreditation
Data analysis of machine performance and determining paths forward for improvement
Working with customers on problem solving and understanding
Ability to write and present mass properties information to customers
General Software Engineer Qualifications:
We are seeking an individual with a combination of knowledge or expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Physics (as applied to inertia tensors)
Mathematics
Mass Properties knowledge
Software and Programming (C# preferred)
The ideal candidate can range from a recent B.S./Masters/PhD graduate to an experienced professional in the field. This person may have a physics, mathematics, software, or engineering concentration with multiple interests or skill sets that may lend themselves to other areas of the company.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $90,000.00 - $140,000.00
