Case Picker and Reach Truck Operator

The Case Picker and Reach Truck Operator is responsible for accurately picking and staging cases for shipment using a reach truck and other material handling equipment. This role ensures timely and accurate order fulfillment while maintaining safety and inventory integrity in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and stage cases for shipment using reach trucks and material handling equipment.
• Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Maintain safety and inventory integrity in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Adhere to OSHA and company safety standards.
• Navigate digital systems for tracking and updating inventory.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in maneuvering reach trucks in narrow aisles and high racks.
• Experience with case picking based on order sheets or RF scanners.
• Ensuring correct product counts and minimizing shrinkage.
• Certification in forklift/reach truck operation.
• Experience with RF scanners.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Basic mechanical troubleshooting.
• Experience in cold storage or high-volume distribution centers.
• Proficiency with electric and manual pallet jacks.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• Attention to detail for accuracy in picking, labeling, and staging orders.
• Basic math skills for counting inventory and verifying quantities.
• Clear communication with team members and supervisors.
• Problem-solving skills for minor equipment issues or order discrepancies.
• Adaptability to changing environments such as temperature zones and shift changes.
• OSHA Forklift Certification is preferred or required.
• High School Diploma or GED is a common minimum education requirement.
• Experience in logistics or distribution centers is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Lean or 5S principles is helpful.
• Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish/English, are valuable.

Pay and Benefits

• The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
