Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring recent level 1 trauma and inpatient acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a radiology CT unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Shift is 12-hour nights with every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Uses GE Hi Def or Revolution CT equipment (required) and Toshiba CT equipment (preferred)
• Peripheral IV skills are required, including starting IVs for all outpatients
• Must be able to perform point-of-care (POC) testing
• Performs all necessary CT scan procedures and related patient care in a level 1 trauma environment
• Point-of-care (POC) testing responsibilities are included
• Pass/fail testing on Tele/ECG and Medication may be required at certain campuses
• Orientation held weekly on Mondays, unless a holiday falls on a Monday
• No block scheduling allowed; all RTO requests must be presented at time of consideration
• Dress code and scrubs per department guidelines
• No locals allowed within a 50-mile radius; exceptions for local consideration may be made on a case-by-case basis
• Parking may cost up to $43 per day

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent level 1 trauma and inpatient acute care CT experience required
• Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Associate's degree in Chemistry required for POC testing; certificate programs not accepted
• Current MA license required if applicable
• Peripheral IV skills required
• GE Hi Def or Revolution CT experience required; Toshiba CT experience preferred
• COVID vaccine series (including booster) and seasonal flu vaccine required prior to start; medical exemptions allowed
• Must have been separated for at least 6 months from any prior employment (travel, perm, per diem) within Beth Israel Lahey Health facilities
